Lahore April 25, 2010: An Official event held by The Office of Imran Khan supported by MCB to increase awareness on the developments of SKMCH&RC and Namal College. Meher Bokhari the presenter led us through the event guiding the audience from the very beginnings of SKHCH&RC into the present expansion phases they have entered. The insight given on Namal College that has been operational for 2 years was well received by the audience, which was filled with major donors, industrialists and celebrities as heartfelt donations came flooding in for the cause of education in Pakistan.

Mr. Bajwa CEO of MCB explained at the event, that with its acquiring business setup, MCB will support SKMT & NAMAL in collecting donations and student fees using MCB's Master, Visa and M-NET member bank Debit/Credit Cards. "Point of Sale (POS) will have GPRS wireless connection for convenience and door to door collection and 10 POS each for SKMT & NAML have been installed", he added.

While commenting on Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre & Namal College, Mr. Bajwa said that Mr. Imran Khan has done a great service to Pakistan by establishing centers of excellence.

An inspirational presentation delivered by Mr. Imran Khan at the ceremony held recently in Lahore where he expressed the evolution of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, & NAMAL College. He stressed on the relationship between Education and Health, and how Education is synonymous with health, drawing emphasis on how Nations are built on the foundations of Knowledge Cities. This being part of his greater vision to enable all Pakistanis who wish to gain an education to have a chance in this world to become Global Citizens. Namal College in Mianwali has drawn students from across the nation, and these students will graduate with an International Accredited Degree from the University of Bradford, for which Mr. Imran Khan is also Chancellor. The teaching quality is closely regulated by faculty training and workshops, all conducted by the professionals from Bradford University. The growth of SKMCH&RC is astounding, the expansion plans of doubling the patient capacity in Lahore is well on its way, the installation of Pakistan's 2nd PET/CT Scanning System in Karachi Diagnostic Center, the construction for SKMCH&RC KARACHI and plans for a SKMCH&RC in Peshawar!

On this occasion, Mr. Imran Khan, Founder & Chairman SKMT & NAMAL College appreciated the support of MCB and said that these initiatives would definitely help patients of SKMT & the students of NAMAL (Internationally Accredited by Bradford University) which is currently supporting 75% of its students on full scholarship.
