Namal College is seeking highly motivated faculty in various fields. We are also looking for dyamic professionals in various other support roles as well.

We are looking for academics with the ability to deliver undergraduate courses in collaboration with University of Bradford, initiate research projects and create R&D linkages, and contribute to the establishment of a visionary project, i.e., the Namal Knowledge City.

For the support staff, Namal is looking to recruit professionals   with sound communication and managerial skills, and the enthusiasm and motivation to work on a challenging project.

1.  Assistant Professor (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) [3 positions]


Requirements
PhD or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic or  Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Applicants who will be completing their doctorates in the next few months are also encouraged to apply.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop and teach on a range of subject specific modules.
  • To liaise with staff across the College and the University of Bradford when developing student programmes.
  • To support students to ensure they have a positive and successful experience in HE.
  • To assist with curriculum development and syllabus design in collaboration with the University of Bradford.
  • To develop subject specific classroom materials and learning/teaching resources.
  • To develop IT-based communication and learning activities.
  • To take up personal and professional development opportunities as advised.
  • To develop initiatives/activities which enable students to progress on the programme.
  • To conduct individual and/or collaborative research projects to contribute to the research excellence of the college.
  • To develop relationship with the local and national industries by taking on research oriented projects
  • To develop a personal research plan leading to publications in leading international peer reviewed academic journals.

2. Assistant Professor / Lecturer (Mathematics) [1 position]


Requirements

3. Lab Engineer, Electrical and Eletronic Engineering [2 positions]

Requirements

  • BS (Engineering) or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or a closely related discipline).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To install, operate and maintain electricity power-generating equipment
  • To design, assemble and test electronic circuits including optoelectronic and integrated circuits
  • To assemble components to form electrical and electronic systems, ensuring compatibility and minimising electrical interference
  • To maintain and repair equipment, changing components or printed circuit boards as appropriate.
  • To design and test lab exercises for undergraduate programmes
  • To run and supervise labs for various subject specific modules
  • To support delivery of modules

4. Network Administrator [1 position]

Requirements

  • BS (Engineering) or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or a closely related discipline).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administration and maintenance of college’s internal systems.
  • Configuration and set-up of all new server systems required internally for the college’s activities.
  • Firewall administration and overall responsibility for the college IT security.
  • Administration of email servers for college-wide email.
  • Provide telephone and desktop support to internal users.
  • Forecasting any needed improvements, budgeting for and implementing any changes.

5. Lab Technician, Electrical Engineering [1 position]

Requirements

  • Diploma in relevant area.
  • Experience in an academic environment will be preferred.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the equipment in the labs of Electrical Engineering.
  • Assist lab engineers in conducting lab sessions.
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and consumables.
  • Assist in development of in-house equipment for labs, projects etc.

6. Assistant Librarian

Required Qualification:

  • Masters degree in Library Sciences (or equivalent) from an HEC recognized institution

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years, preferably in a reputed academic setting
  • Hands-on experience of a Library Information Management System (LIMS).

Must Have Skills:

  • Sound understanding of cataloguing, Acquisition, Circulation, and Reporting processes
  • Ability to proactively develop contacts with local and international vendors
  • Computer literate, proficient in the use of MS Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain and customize LIMS
  • Self motivated, willing to work in a remote location
