MANAGER HR

The Manager HR will be responsible for creating an employee-oriented high performance culture that emphases quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assessment of Human Resource Requirement for Namal College.
  • Employee recruitment, appointments, orientation, training, career development etc.
  • Design and implement HR policies that promote a healthy work environment.
  • Ensure and addresses employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner.
  • Maintain HR procedures that comply with international and national rules and regulations.
  • Ensure timely performance reviews of Faculty and Staff.
  • Carry out activities to enable team building across the organization.
  • Spearhead motivation and recognition programs and activities for employees.

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:

  • MBA specialization in HR
  • 8-10 years’ experience with sound knowledge of Human Resource practices and procedures.
  • Experience in all core areas of Human Resource
  • Expertise in Local Labor Laws and understanding of Human Rights Policies
  • Good negotiating and investigation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proactive in anticipating needs, prioritizing and responding to them.
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure to include tight deadlines and multiple projects with strong organizational skills
  • Confident and has the ability to deal with all levels in the organization
  • Confidentiality is crucial in this position

Assistant Manager ORIC & QEC

The AM ORIC & QEC shall be primarily responsible to support university research program, industrial collaboration, research commercialization and implementation of quality assurance program.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support faculty for research proposal submissions which include budget development, documentation; and other administrative portions of proposals.
  • Support faculty regarding pre and post contracts grant management, progress reports submission and other sponsor-related grant actions including project closure.
  • Coordinate internal and external reporting needs, including maintenance of HEI’s database.
  • Promote the development of public-private partnerships in support of university research.
  • Link the university’s research community with the needs and priorities of the corporate sector
  • Develop opportunities for applied research and explore opportunities for technology transfer and the commercialization of university research.
  • Develop plans, organize and coordinate program(s) according to the goals and outcomes articulated in the program plan for Quality Assurance (QA) in education.
  • Develop manual for all QA policies and standards and update it regularly along with other institutional guide lines and codes of practice on academic quality management.

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:

  • MBA preferably HR/Marketing/Public Administration
  • Preference shall be given to the candidate having relevant experience of research, university-industrial linkages, entrepreneurship and management of QEC.

Software Developer

Namal Software Cell, an in-house software company, develops and deploys software solutions for the higher education sector. We are looking for a developer specialized in Python and has some exposure to the Django framework (Flask applicants will also be considered).

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new software programs
  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
  • Integrate software components and third-party programs
  • Verify and deploy programs and systems
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:

  • BS degree in computer science or equivalent
  • More than 3 years of professional full-time experience as a developer 
  • 2+ years of working with Python (with some experience of Django or Flask framework)
  • Team lead experience
  • SQL, preferably PostgreSQL
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript and responsive design expertise are required
  • 3rd party APIs system integration
  • Fluent with the command line,use git 
  • Gunicorn, Nginx, Ansible, or Ubuntu experience is a plus

Inventory Officer

Inventory Officer is primarily responsible for handling for materials management including acquisition of the material, issuance, record management and final disposition.

Major Responsibilities

  • To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items
  • Reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the ledger
  • Ensures that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse
  • To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis
  • To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory and to be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor Degree B.A, B.Sc. or equivalent preference shall be given to Master Degree holder
  • 3-5 years’ experience of Inventory/Store Management of Educational Institution/ Manufacturing Concerns/ Public Sector or equivalent
  • Expertise in ledger management/ record keeping
  • Honest and hard worker
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Proactive in anticipating needs, prioritizing and responding to them.
